ínarú
Taino Indian word meaning "woman" or "spirit of woman"

The Taino were among the first people in the Virgin Islands and were thought to have carved these images into rock on St. John. A stylized version of one of these petroglyphs forms the ínarú logo as well as the logo for several businesses here in the VI.
ínarú is the work of Julia Gardner, whose latest artistic endeavors have been in the realm of jewelry. She is also an orthopedic surgeon and musician-- living, playing, and exploring life on St. Thomas.
A selection of ínarú jewelry is also available at Gallery St. Thomas in Palm Passage, downtown Charlotte Amalie.
